Cyber Resilience Lead Consultant Job Description

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A Lead Consultant is required to have a bachelor's degree in an appropriate technical, business or management discipline. An advanced degree is preferred. Other requirements include:

Minimum

  • Minimum ten (10) years of industry experience in enterprise IT management, technology consulting, advisory or professional services;
  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited university or equivalent technical and/or business experience;
  • 5-7 years' experience as a Senior Consultant or equivalent experience;
  • Demonstrated technical consulting and/or experience in data center transformation across all verticals
  • Demonstrated technical consulting and/or experience in Disaster Recovery and Cyber Recovery solution development and implementation
  •  

Preferred:

  • Thorough understanding at least one major WWT technology practice area, key technology partners and market trends;
  • Post-graduate training in business-related discipline or management;
  • Demonstrated leadership, team building, and management skills;
  • Advanced client-facing skills, including the ability to analyze complex problems, influence and negotiate with clients;
  • Demonstrated technical consulting experience in one or more of the following vertical sectors: government, public sector, higher education, finance, health care, technology, or other commercial.
  • Demonstrated technical consulting experience in data center transformation design and implementation
  • Demonstrated experience at enterprise scale designing Disaster Recovery Solutions for the IT infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience at enterprise scale designing Cyber Recovery Solutions for the IT infrastructure
  • Experience supporting Disaster Recoveries or Cyber Recoveries
  • Demonstrated understanding of Disaster Recovery Concepts and Cyber Recovery Concepts with understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements for Disaster Recovery and Cyber Recovery
  • Strategic planning and presentation skills at an executive and board level with competency in aligning the business and technology strategy necessary to achieve desired business outcomes

    What will you be doing?

    The Cyber Resilience Lead Consultant is responsible for leading Professional Services' consulting teams during customer projects and oversees the day-to-day operations of an Enterprise Solutions project until completion. The Lead Consultant is the main contact between WWT and the customer for an Enterprise Solutions project. In some cases, the Lead Consultant will lead several Customer projects concurrently.

    A Cyber Resilience Lead Consultant must be capable of supervising and leading a project team, managing a complex project, and be a recognized expert by significant career experience expert by significant career experience in Data Center Transformation, Disaster Recovery, and Cyber Recovery leadership. Demonstrated experience leveraging data center technologies, Disaster Recovery technologies and solutions, and Cyber Recovery technology and solutions focused on customer experience in context to Data Center modernization and recoverability from disaster and cyber events is required. Experience with various data center and cloud technologies, systems and application dependencies and the necessary integration required to deliver the right capabilities for the compute environment and the recovery of that environment that meets customer requirements. Effectively leading strategies and roadmap delivery for data center, cloud, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, for seamless service delivery and the recoverability of said environments resulting in providing a unified customer experience is preferred.

    The Cyber Resilience Lead Consultant leads customer-facing Enterprise Solutions projects of medium to large-size or complexity. Lead Consultants often lead all aspects of these projects and the development of project deliverables (examples include white papers, plans, strategies, designs, assessments, business case analyses) to a large extent and can lead most customer engagements.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Primary:

    • Main contact between WWT and customer from beginning to end of a project ensuring the team meets the customer's needs;
    • Demonstrated ability to carry out consulting activities, methodologies leading to comprehensive discovery, analysis and technical/business recommendations;
    • Advanced communication skills, including business/technical writing and presentations;
    • Advanced ability to present in-depth technical solutions;

    • Participate with Sales during the sales process through Project Scoping Workshops (PSWs), presentations, solutions, development of SOW's;
    • Provide the bridge between Sales and Professional Services as new opportunities are closed;
    • Proven track record of customer focus, including the ability to foster long-term client relationships;
    • Ability to successfully manage partner and vendor resources;
    • General understanding of financial forecasting, reporting, and budgeting;
    • Personnel management experience;
    • Expert knowledge of project management principles and practices;
    • Willing to travel 50-75% of the time;
    • Proactively detects technical deficiencies and develops practical, workable solutions to problems;

    • Ensure that all components as well as their usage are consistent and in compliance with all applicable regulatory, departmental, IT, and corporate standards, policies and guidelines;

    Management

    • Manage project risk, up/cross selling, and oversight of team deliverables;
    • Contribute to the definition of industry best practice through subject matter expertise;
    • Support the organization as required, including project scoping, developing SOWs, responding to RFIs, and RFPs;
    • Deliver within the scope of the SOW while meeting or exceeding profit targets;
    • Mentoring and ensuring that the Associate Consultants, Consultants, and Senior Consultants are hitting target utilization and quality metrics in programs they oversee.
    • Provide appropriate direction and feedback to team members;
    • Ensure that the team identifies, documents, and drives resolution for program issues.
